Catherine R. Everett is a Founding Partner, Chief Operations Officer, and Director of the Trial Monitoring Practice at Danielsen, Lawlor, Everett, Isaacs & Dischley, PLLC. Catherine concentrates her practice on complex general liability litigation, including construction accidents (New York Labor Law §§ 240 and 241[6]), product liability, premises liability, maritime matters, insurance coverage disputes, and related appellate proceedings.
Catherine routinely handles high-exposure litigation involving catastrophic injury and wrongful death claims in multiple jurisdictions. She is frequently retained by excess insurers to serve as specialty and monitoring counsel in matters involving significant damages exposure and works closely with trial teams, insurers, and clients to evaluate litigation strategy, trial risk, and resolution options throughout the life of a case.
In her role as Director of the Trial Monitoring Practice, Catherine oversees the firm’s monitoring and specialty counsel operations involving complex and high-severity litigation. Catherine also regularly assists in appellate strategy and post-trial litigation involving significant liability and damages issues.
Catherine is admitted to practice in New York and the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
Catherine received her B.A., summa cum laude, from St. John’s University in 1999 and earned her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law in 2002.
